I am a nonprofit operations strategist with nearly 30 years of experience leading mission-driven organizations through growth, transition, and transformation. I specialize in helping nonprofits strengthen internal systems, improve financial sustainability, and align strategy with mission to create lasting impact.
Throughout my career, I have held senior and executive roles where I led organization-wide initiatives across finance, HR, compliance, operations, and technology. I have scaled teams, built infrastructure from the ground up, and supported leadership through periods of change and complexity. My approach is hands-on, equity-informed, and grounded in practical experience.
Through my consulting practice, KJ Consulting Group, I work with nonprofits to identify internal friction points and co-develop tailored strategies that build clarity, stability, and long-term sustainability. Whether you are preparing for growth, addressing operational strain, or navigating leadership transitions, I bring structure, accountability, and trusted partnership to every engagement.
Strong systems. Strong teams. Stronger impact. That is the foundation I help organizations build.

Friction Finder is a 30-day internal diagnostic that identifies operational misalignments. It is not strategy design or implementation. It provides focused insight to surface root issues and support informed decisions.
It delivers high-value clarity without a long-term contract. Many organizations discover long-standing issues during this process, making it a smart and efficient use of limited resources.
This service is designed for small to mid-sized nonprofits facing internal friction, preparing for growth, or navigating change. It works well for teams that need clarity before making strategic moves.
The process includes a kickoff consultation, document review, two guided sessions, and a concise diagnostic brief with clear recommendations. A 30-day follow-up is included to support reflection and action.
You will receive a detailed document review, two facilitated sessions, and a 6 to 8 page diagnostic brief outlining strengths, misalignments, and high-priority recommendations.
Sessions are held virtually via Zoom. You will receive calendar invites and a shared folder for submitting documents and receiving deliverables.
Your team will complete an intake form, submit documents in advance, and participate fully in both sessions. Engagement, openness, and honest input are essential to getting value from the diagnostic.
The service includes one round of clarifying edits to the diagnostic brief. Additional revisions can be added as an extra service.
